Wind Netbooks Running SuSE Linux Saw 4x Higher Return Rates
As far as Dell is concerned, its Inspiron Mini 9s with Ubuntu have already demonstrated rather invidious sales level, thus it's well foundedly that Android may give Linux pretty impressive service on netbooks. We know that MSI was across-the-board promulgating that Wind netbooks running SuSE Linux saw 4x higher return rates in comparison with that of XP machines, Dell could not except the statemrnt with its Inspiron Mini 9 offering with Ubuntu. According to Dell's Jay Pinkert words: " A third of our Mini 9 mix is Linux, which is well above the standard attach rate for other systems that offer Linux. We have done a very good job explaining to folks what Linux is". Due to enough able to meet competition prices on the Ubuntu SKUs, Linux manages to show impressive results, as for Dell's point of view. Dell senior product manager John New commented out: "When you look at the sweet spot for this category it is price sensitivity, and Linux enabled us to offer a lower price entry point". Dell points that Ubuntu running Mini 9s and the XP rate both have a low station in computer life with the similar rate of return on capital, as a rule not so impressive. No doubt that Dell's Ubuntu realizes customers education before they make a purchase, moreover they have created graphical user interface with the help of which it is easier to operate popular programs and Web tools.
