Asustek is Evaluating a Specialized Laptop

According to business publication Bloomberg, Asustek is evaluating a specialized laptop, which manages to support Google's Android open source operating system.

Samson Hu, the main man of Asustek's Eee PC netbooks presented a statement that engineers were entrusted with a task to develop and submit for concurrence the Android-based netbook project. Only after detailed investigation the company's management will make decision, taking into consideration the results of the experiment, whether or not to put it forward to the computer market.

Based on a Linux kernel, Android is an operating system used in mobile devices, which was developed by Google and later the Open Handset Alliance.
